Royal baby name leaked

There is masses of speculation over the name of the soon to be born child of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Those crazy Brits will bet on anything and the leading bookmaker in the UK, William Hill, has the following table of odds on it's website ready for the birth which is due in Mid July.

The odds show that 9 of the top 10 names in the list are female, since it is widely believed that Kate accidentally let slip the fact that her unborn child is a girl. Also the majority of the top contenders are traditional 'Royal' names like Elizabeth, Mary and George.

A new contender has slipped into the running given the events of the past month. Margaret has charged up the rankings to 33/1 since the death of former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. Margaret is also the name of Queen Elizabeth's sister so there is a good strong connection there.

Then you have the outsider or 'sucker' bets. British people must want to give money to the bookmakers really badly, just on the off-chance of a huge return. The 3 legged ponies in this race are Wayne and Waynetta, both ranked at 500/1. The characters Wayne and Waynetta Slob featured in a mid 90's BBC comedy series called 'Harry Enfield and chums' and they both have fairly unlikely Royal baby names.

A good investigative reporter should never reveal her sources, and I am about to not reveal mine, but I have it on excellent authority that one name from the William Hill list above is going to be the name of the new Royal baby. (So that excludes the name 'hashtag' as we reported last year).
