You're fired!.... and we're back

By Ian C

Today is January 20th 2021 and I know that our headline is not unique, clever or even barely amusing, but it feels good to write it anyway. Who would have thought that what started off as a joke would end so miserably for so many people. At this moment I should point out that as a serious news reporting service we have no political affiliation, we merely report the news as it unfolds with an unbiased eye and a neutral and independent mind.

How Trump fixed the Super Bowl

By +Titan Young

This is Brad and I don't know a lot about sports, but I do know someone who does, and he has written a guest post for us. The opinions expressed below are entirely those of my friend and work colleague Titan Young.

Last Sunday, we saw one of the most exciting, one of the most unexpected, and one of the most heartbreaking Superbowl games of all time as Tom Brady's Patriots came back from a 25 point deficit to tie the game and claim an overtime victory. The result was so unbelievable that even Marty McFly thought that there was a typo in his Sports Almanac as the teams went in at half time.

Facts are starting to come about that President Trump tweeted to the Falcons at half time using one or more of his alternate accounts, with news that gave them a big enough reason to not score many more points in the second half.

Super Bowl LI kills The Celebrity Apprentice

By +Alexa Rankin

The New Celebrity Apprentice has already seen it's lowest viewing figures since records began 14 seasons ago, but tonight could mark an all time low in viewership numbers thanks to Super Bowl LI. With at least 100 million people tuning in to see Tom Brady's Patriots lose to playing America's favorite Atlanta Falcons it is possible that Arnie's Apprentice could actually have less than 1 million viewers tonight.

The penguin flies again

By +Ian C

Some would say that the title of this post is purely metaphorical since penguins can't fly, [proof] and that we needed something eye-catching in this clickbait world of alternate facts. However there is a small group of Adélie penguins who have (re)gained the power of flight. When the extreme weather in the Antarctic becomes too harsh even for these hardy little birds, they take flight and head north to the southern tip of South America until the weather becomes livable again.

Top 10 - Rhode Island to repeal dumb laws

By +Brad Naylor

Everybody seems to know at least one stupid law which made sense when it was written, but is no longer valid in today's society. Rhode Island, the smallest state, is revisiting some of these outdated laws and either repealing or rewriting them. I took a brief trip around the interwebs to find some of the most amusingly irrelevant ones.

North Korea declare war on London barber shop

By +Alexa Rankin

The M&M Hair Academy in Ealing is in danger of being nuked by North Korea for insulting its premiere, Kim Jong Un. The West London salon has been using an image of the North Korean leader with the tag line 'Bad Hair Day...' Little did they know that the North Korean embassy is just a 3 minute walk from their barbershop, and they have been under surveillance throughout the month of April.

Top 10 Weiner Headlines

by +Alexa Rankin

Anthony Weiner has dominated the headlines over the last week or so, thanks to his inability to stop sexting women. He was first caught messing around way back in 2011 when we ran THIS story. Weiner has since been caught sexting again while running for the position of Mayor of New York using the pseudonym Carlos Danger.

Gun Control - Does it go far enough?

One of the hot topics currently is the eternal debate about gun control. There are very few discussions more polarizing than this one, and many people have an opinion. I come from Georgia where most people are against reforming gun control laws and stand by the second amendment with respect to the right to bear arms. The town of Nelson, 50 miles north of Atlanta, has taken the second amendment one step further by passing the 'Family Protection Ordinance' which requires the head of each household to own a gun and ammunition.

North Korea Crisis Heightens

+Brad Naylor

North Korea have had a bug up their butt since 2010 when they lost horribly in the Soccer World Cup. They threatened nuclear attack on the US/South Korea war games after exiting after some embarrassing double digit defeats. They have recently been flexing their military muscle by parading their nuclear missile launchers and tanks around the streets Pyongyang like some kind of Thanksgiving Day Procession.

Election 2012 - The Aftermath

The votes are in and counted (except for Florida, as usual) and President Barack Obama has been re-elected for another four years. So now we have to deal with the 'Why did Obama win?', 'Why did Romney lose?' discussions. To make it more palatable we are going to add our own election theories and solutions into the mix.

Election Day Special

Which way will it go today? Both the Obamocrats™ and Rompublicans™ are out voting and one side will leave the election disappointed.

I voted today. I'm not telling you who I voted for because it's none of your business, just as I don't care who you voted for. That is between you and your beliefs, just so long as you voted for someone today.
