We are still alive this Christmas

Hi, hello and howdy to our loyal band of penguin slappers, and any accidental visitors too.

Why yes, it has been a while since we posted anything and yes we are all still alive. I know some of you were probably getting concerned (please don't comment to the contrary, just leave this little fantasy alive) that you hadn't seen or heard or smelled anything from us, but honestly it got too tough to handle all this excitement, and have families and jobs and pets and all the other day to day stuff we have to do first.

Merry Christmas 2014

By +Brad Naylor

I got the short straw for doing the official Slap the Penguin Christmas post this year so here goes. You may notice that I took a more mainstream, some may even say commercial route than in previous years.

The Twelve Days of Christmas

by +Ian C+Brad Naylor+Tina Cruris and +Alexa Rankin

The Twelve Days of Christmas needed radically updating since nobody has recently made a gift of turtle doves or leaping lords. Between the four of us, we have revamped the old song and we will be revealing it over the actual Twelve Days of Christmas.

Halle Berry releases Christmas Song

by +Ian C

40 something movie star Halle Berry is following in the footsteps of Hayden Panettiere and Gwyneth Paltrow by making that sideways move from the screen to the studio. Halle Berry is taking on the Christmas classic, 'Mary's Boy Child' which was originally a hit back in 1956.

Merry Christmas 2012

We at Slap the Penguin would like to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas. Not 'Happy Holidays' or 'Season's Greetings'. We are not afraid to use the C-word. Christmas is the holiday that we celebrate and we are going to damn well enjoy it. Feel free to enjoy your own personal choice of religious festival.

Somebody went and opened her mouth and mentioned last years hot Christmas toy list and has somehow found herself writing this years list. So sit back, relax and let us take the trouble out of finding what is hot and new in the world of Christmas toys.

Obama announces Christmas Tree tax

President Obama recently announced a 15 cent tax on the purchase of live Christmas trees in order to raise funds for something or other. A move which has 'needled' people all over the United States for a variety of reasons.
