Apple bans fart apps from new watch

Tech giant and fan boy magnet Apple Inc. have surreptitiously banned all fart apps for their new apple watch according to some app developers. For those without imagination, the concept of a fart app is to hide the iPhone close to somebody else and while standing an inconspicuously safe distance away, press a button on the Apple Watch to trigger a fart sound from the iPhone, thus making it appear that the target 'let one rip'.

"Farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt!" How else would you write a fart sound?

When I left my house to watch the premiere showing of Jobs, I was expecting to join the back of a long line of Apple fan-boys circling the movie theater like it was a Best Buy store on iPhone 6 release day. I was both surprised and pleased that this was not the case. There were some middle aged iPhowners there who were old enough to remember the release of the first Mac, regretting not investing a dollar into the company back in the 70's. "My dollar would be worth $44,000 now", I overheard one of them say. 

The cross section of people lining up for the movie was not entirely what I was expecting. My preconception of the 'Jobs' audience was along the lines of a ComicCon audience. There were more women in line than I would have imagined, maybe due to the Ashton Kutcher influence. Also, people were older than I anticipated they would be. And as I mentioned already, there were considerably fewer people than I expected.

This post was originally planned for October 5th 2012, but we didn't want it to get lost in a mass of Steve Jobs tributes, so we are preempting the rush and publishing it 18 days early.

Steve Jobs was a visionary. He co-founded Apple in 1976 and is credited with single-handedly revolutionizing technology as we know it. Blah, blah, blah! We all know the Apple story, and if you don't then go g**gle it.

The modern Apple story is one of proprietary designs, fanboys and aggressively defending it's 4.7 million trademarks from other tech companies like Samsung (who ironically make the screens and most of the chips found in many i-devices). This mindset was created by Jobs and continues through the Apple corporation even after his untimely death one year ago.

I am in favor of technology making life easier. I love my coffee maker which has a delay timer so that I can wake up to piping hot fresh coffee. I love my universal remote control which covers pretty much every aspect of my home entertainment. What I don't love is 3D! Movies, TV video games, it all just gives me a headache.

iBone, the new iPhone sexting app

Apple have finally approved the controversial iBone app for sale in their iTunes store, despite opposition from a number of morality groups. The app, which retails for $1.99, enables 2 or more iPhone users to connect via text message, voice and camera with the primary purpose of 'sexting' each other.
