Bruce Springsteen - Not Born in the USA shocker

Since 1984 American people have been singing along with Bruce Springsteen's anthemic single 'Born in the USA' to profess their love of their country, but in a recent interview The Boss revealed that he was actually not born on United States soil.

600 posts and climbing

Now that Back to the Future week is over we can return to some form of normality. That normality would be self congratulatory nonsense as we have just passed another milestone. Yesterday we published post number 600 and we still have a lot more to come with no immediate signs of improvement.

Where are they now? Back to the Future

by +Alexa Rankin

The year was 1985 and the world was waiting for a time travel trilogy to change it's life. As usual Steven Spielberg had his finger on the pulse and with the help of Robert Zemeckis they put together a series of movies to feed our time travel desires. James Cameron had just blown our minds with the negative angle of time travel with The Terminator, and Back to the Future was set to re-balance the time travel karma.

Back to the Science of Time Travel

by +Brad Naylor

Being the closest thing to a resident scientist, the task of analyzing the science of time travel in the Back to the Future series falls upon my shoulders. As far as anyone knows, time travel is still just a theoretical concept, even though there are people who claim to have traveled through time.

Predicting the Future - How close were they?

by +Ian C

The writers and producers of the BTTF franchise had to come up with a convincing 1980's version of the future for the second movie. Now that we are living in that future it is time to grade those responsible for creating the screen version of 2015 ahem... I mean 2013 in comparison to the technology of today.

Bubes Says - It's about time

Hi ladies, it's me, Michael BublĂ© and I was just 10 when the first Back to the Future movie came out. But that didn't stop me from really inventing time travel, going back in time and helping Michael out with  those scenes where he would have played two parts. In the third movie for example I played Seamus McFly to save money on all those split screen effects.

Movie Review - Back to the Future Trilogy

by +Alexa Rankin

Movie Review - Back to the Future Trilogy
Here is a back to back to Back to the Future movie review.

The year was 1985, the place was Hill Valley California and a young man called Michael J. Fox was about to go back in time and kick off one of the biggest movie trilogies of all time.

Part I
The first movie was a fast paced flick across two timezones. The young Marty McFly while assisting his friend Doc Brown with a time travel experiment finds himself hitting 88 miles per hour and travelling back to 1955, in the very same time frame where his parents met and fell in love.

Today is Back to the Future Day

Back to the Future Week
by +Tina Cruris
Today is Back to the Future Day
Is it that time already?
I am deeply honored to be chosen to present to you the Back to the Future Day post. Many people have been waiting for many years for this day October 21st 2013, and now finally, it is upon us. Today has been almost 30 years in the making, since Dr. Emmett Lathrop "Doc" Brown, Ph.D. first "built a time machine... out of a Delorean" in 1985.

Back to the Future Week

by +Ian C

This week you will see the future. The future according to Robert Zemeckis and his creative team as they saw it way back in 1989. October 21st 2013 is the future date that Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly traveled to in the second Back to the Future movie, cleverly titled 'Back to the Future - Part II'.

Burger King attempt healthier fast food

For decades the fast food industry has been slammed for delivering "heart attacks in a bun" to the paying public, but that has been changing slowly over the past decade. The introduction of Salad and the option of Apple Dippers, has made fast food that much healthier to those who choose it.

One of the biggest global fast food enterprises, Burger King, has made a bold move to expand their customers healthful options with the introduction of 'Satisfries'. A new kind of fry which according to BK offers all the flavor of a traditional fry but with 40% less fat and 30% fewer calories (compared to their main competitor). Plus they are crinkled, to avoid confusion I would suspect.

October 13th is No Bra Day

Yes ladies, today is the day when we can let the girls loose. Wait a minute, we need a special day to do that? I wonder which pervert thought up No Bra Day. I know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and anything that draws attention to that is a good thing (donate here), but do we really need an allotted day when we should not wear a bra?

Charlie Hunnam pulls out of 50 shades movie

Charlie Hunnam claims that a clash with his busy 'Son's of Anarchy' schedule means that he can no longer play the part of the millionaire pervert, Christian Grey. His early withdrawal from the movie could also cast a cloud over the future of Dakota Johnson's role as Anastasia Steele.

Star Trek: TNG - memorable quotes

What were you watching on TV 25 years ago? If you are anything like me then there is a strong chance that it could have been Star Trek: The Next Generation. A new incarnation of the original Star Trek with different values for a different time. Out with Kirk and in with Picard; a more thoughtful Captain who does not have the "Shoot it or Screw it" mentality when it comes to alien races.
