Father's Day 2013

by +Alexa Rankin

This year it's my turn to tell y'all what to get your daddy for Father's Day. Please feel free to check out our previous posts for inspiration. Last year Brad gave us a great list of suggestions, and in 2011, Tina touched on various multitools at the request of some of her advice seekers.

I don't know about you, but my dad is a total tool head. He has a tool for absolutely everything. I always thought that a hammer was just a hammer, but he has at least 11 different hammers each with a specific purpose. He knows the difference between a 3/4" and 19mm socket and "NO, they are not interchangeable". He taught me "lefty loosey, tighty whities" when playing with nuts and so to say thanks for all the tool help, I found this great little tool kit that I am totally sure that he doesn't have.

This handy 3 piece set comes in a rugged tool box to keep it safe and to look real manly. This kit is so useful my dad will probably use it daily.

Not everybody has a tool head dad, so what should you get for that guy? I can't give you the answer. Only you can find the perfect Father's Day gift for your dad. I could list a whole bunch of novelty items, t-shirts or tacky awards but these novelties wear off quickly. A little thought and a whole lot of love will guide you to that gift that screams "World's Greatest Dad" but without the generic mass produced feel.

You can use this amazon search box to find the perfect gift for your dad.  Does he like tools or tech? Is he a gardener or a cook? Does he read or listen to music? Think about what he is truly passionate about and let that be your starting place. Whatever you get will be the right gift because it came from you, with love.
