It's no secret that George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are no longer together. However, the big secret is the reason behind the split.

The official line is that Stacy is a fertile 33 year old who wants to start a family and George is a 52 year old playboy who doesn't want to settle down. This is not an ideal situation for either so they decided on an amicable separation and will remain friends.

However... there are people who have an alternate theory. Stacy is a fertile 33 year old who wants to start a family and George is a 52 year old gayboy who doesn't want to settle down with a woman. Stacy got fed up with being George's beard and so she left him.

If I was George Clooney (which would involve a medical miracle) then I certainly wouldn't let Stacy Keibler get away, she is gorgeous. Why would any red blooded heterosexual male let that go?

Rumors of Clooney's homosexuality began in September 1997 after he provided the voice for Stan's gay dog, Sparky, in the first season of the adult animated sitcom, South Park. These rumors subsided very quickly because nobody believed them.

George has never gone on record regarding his sexuality, mainly because he has never had to. He is the kind of guy that men want to be and women want to be with. He has a history of beautiful women that he has been romantically linked with including Teri Hatcher and Renée Zellweger.

According to a psychology student that I know, this behavior of serial dating high profile, attractive women is commonly attributed to 'Bearding'. A beard is a woman, usually very attractive, who hangs out with a homosexual man in order to disguise the fact that he is a homosexual. The term is a very clever use of the English language because a) Beards make you look more manly and b) Beards are commonly used in disguises.

Possibly the most famous and least convincing beard in America today is Julianne Hough who totally failed to make Ryan Seacrest look butch, which is possibly why they split back in March. Currently there are no rumors that Miss Hough is on Clooney's hirsute pursuit list.
