Happy Turkey Day

The staff at Slap the Penguin sincerely wish all of our readers a Happy Turkey Day. Unfortunately we are two weeks late, but if we posted the story back on the 14th of November, the National Day of Turkey, then it wouldn't have been funny.

Turkey - Not Actual Size and certainly not stuffed
Turkey - Not Actual Size and certainly not stuffed.

The Republic of Turkey was founded ages ago by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and is the home to 78 million people. Turkey is famous for turkish baths, turkish delight and other turkish stuff. Surprisingly Turkey is not known for it's turkeys. But then Oregon is not known for its oregano and Virginia is not known for it's virgins.

Ahmet Necdet Sezer, the Turkish President was unavailable to comment on how Americans always steal other countries national days and turn them into excuses for partying to excess:- St Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Turkey Day.

Since today is Thanksgiving Day, we at Slap the Penguin are thankful for copious supplies of alcohol and energy drinks which provide the inspiration and stimulation to keep us writing this drivel.
