Cigar Guy is the #1 halloween costume this year

Just days after becoming a huge viral hit on the internet, Cigar Guy is looking to be a big hit in the real world. The real world of Halloween costumes that is.

Party City and other large costume retailers are scrambling like crazy to get the Cigar Guy outfits ready and in stores within the week in order to meet the big rush from Halloween revellers.

There is also a junior version of the Cigar Guy costume called Cigar Kid, although some retailers are refusing to carry this line because they don't want to be seen to be encouraging underage use of tobacco products.

Some people are already putting their own costumes together using red ponytail wigs and that old Groucho Marx combination moustache and cigar that you can buy in any novelty store.

It would appear that people are also jumping all over the Chilean Miners costumes.

Suggestions for items to buy are Chile Flag and sunglasses. You could get the genuine oakley sunglasses for authenticity. Don't forget the headlamp if the lights go out.

Jersey Shore characters are another hot costume this year. Snooki and The Situation will be popular at any party. Just don't overdo the fake tan and end up going as an Oompa Loompa
