Since at least one person read last weeks new releases I figured we would try this again before putting it to bed - forever.
This week we will be looking at new CD's from Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey, Brad Paisley, Elvis Costello and Jason Aldean.
What can we say about Neil Diamond that hasn't already been said? 5 decades of music and still going strong. I guess he has run out of steam when it comes to writing songs since this 14 track CD is a collection of cover versions. Still sounds pretty good though.

Mariah Carey – Merry Christmas II You
Mariah Christmas Everyone. This is another shameless Christmas cash-in from Miss Carey. The usual mish-mash of mistletoe laden medleys, screeched with unnecessary octave bursting arias by the Long Island diva. If you need to shatter your finest crystal during a Christmas Party then buy this CD.

Elvis Costello – National Ransom
The first CD in our list NOT shamefully released with Christmas sales in mind. Elvis Costello was born Declan MacManus and changed his name to make himself more marketable. The unlikely pairing of a music legend and a comedy genius yielded the name Lou Presley. This failed to work for some time until he reworked the same idea and came up with Elvis Costello.
This New Wave Nerd grew up to be a great artist in his own right and keeps putting out good music. Buy this CD. Buy it NOW.

Jason Aldean is another relative newcomer to the country music scene with barely 5 years of chart experience under his belt. Much as I despise modern country this guy makes me sit up and listen. He sounds like a 21st century Johnny Cash – NO, No, wait a minute, that's Dierks Bentley.
Umm Jason Aldean, he did the song about seeing the neighbors butt crack. I think it was called Hicktown. Forget this one.
