Pamela Anderson finishes the NY marathon

by +Alexa Rankin

When Pamela Anderson announced that she would be running in the 2013 New York marathon, many people laughed it off as a publicity stunt or a silly joke, but last Sunday she proved everybody wrong by not just running in the marathon, but actually finishing.

Pammy crossed the line after running the 26.2 miles in an unofficial time of 5 hours 41 minutes and 3 seconds with her breasts finishing just 2 seconds before her. She would have finished with a faster time if she hadn't been doing that slow motion running popularized in the show Baywatch in the early 90's.

Coincidentally, Malibu Beach, one of the beaches featured in Baywatch, where Pamela first practiced her slow motion running was exactly 26 miles 385 yards (the official length of a marathon race) prior to the modifications in 1991, when it was shortened to 21 miles.

Congratulations to Pamela who has so far raised nearly $77,000 for the Haitian Relief Organization. The effort was certainly worth it, even though the post race recovery image she posted on twitter may not reflect it.
