A year after a privately funded monument depicting the 10 Commandments was placed in the grounds of the Oklahoma Capitol, a group of Satan worshipers have announced plans to exercise religious equality and place a monument representing their own religion in the very same grounds.

The members of the Oklahoma Church of Satan held fundraising coffee mornings and pancake breakfasts as well as a garage sale in order to get enough money to erect their own religious monument depicting the Nine Satanic Statements, the devil worshiping equivalent of the 10 Commandments.

In response, the Church of Satan released a statement saying, "Fuck Off you Bible bashing idiots! Satan is already in every city in America. Have you ever been to L.A. or Las Vegas? Without Satan there would be no Christianity and you would have nothing to bitch about. We will build our monument and let the people of Oklahoma make up their own minds."
The floodgates have now opened and pretty much everyone wants an Oklahoma Capitol monument. There is a move from Hindus for an image of Lord Hanuman, the monkey God, and a Buddhist Church has started raising funds for a Buddha statue.
Of course the crazies want part of this as well, the local chess club want to build a statue of Yoda, claiming that Jediism is a recognized religion and a bunch of screaming teens want a Bieber idol built.
Do you think that the Church of Satan should be allowed to have a complimentary monument or should Satanism be swept under the rug while we all pretend it doesn't exist? Share your thoughts below.
