New CD Releases for November 2nd

Since at least one person read last weeks new releases I figured we would try this again before putting it to bed - forever.

This week we will be looking at new CD's from Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey, Brad Paisley, Elvis Costello and Jason Aldean.

DreamsNeil Diamond – Dreams
What can we say about Neil Diamond that hasn't already been said? 5 decades of music and still going strong. I guess he has run out of steam when it comes to writing songs since this 14 track CD is a collection of cover versions. Still sounds pretty good though.

Merry Christmas II YouMariah Carey – Merry Christmas II You
Mariah Christmas Everyone. This is another shameless Christmas cash-in from Miss Carey. The usual mish-mash of mistletoe laden medleys, screeched with unnecessary octave bursting arias by the Long Island diva. If you need to shatter your finest crystal during a Christmas Party then buy this CD.

Hits Alive (2 CD)Brad Paisley – Hits Alive (2CD)
More lazy, can't be bothered to earn sales, compilation crap for Christmas. This time it's Brad Paisley cashing in on his 17 #1 hit singles (all on the country chart which don't mean dick in the real music world). This double CD has 14 of BP's favorite songs on disc 1 and live stuff on disc 2. He only got on the list because he has a cool first name.

National RansomElvis Costello – National Ransom
The first CD in our list NOT shamefully released with Christmas sales in mind. Elvis Costello was born Declan MacManus and changed his name to make himself more marketable. The unlikely pairing of a music legend and a comedy genius yielded the name Lou Presley. This failed to work for some time until he reworked the same idea and came up with Elvis Costello.
This New Wave Nerd grew up to be a great artist in his own right and keeps putting out good music. Buy this CD. Buy it NOW.

Track Listing
1. National Ransom
2. Jimmie Standing In The Rain
3. Stations Of The Cross
4. A Slow Drag With Josephine
5. Five Small Words
6. Church Underground
7. You Hung The Moon
8. Bullets For The New-Born King
9. I Lost You
10. Dr. Watson, I Presume
11. One Bell Ringing
12. The Spell That You Cast
13. That's Not The Part Of Him You're Leaving
14. My Lovely Jezebel
15. All These Strangers
16. A Voice In The Dark

My Kinda PartyJason Aldean – My Kinda Party
Jason Aldean is another relative newcomer to the country music scene with barely 5 years of chart experience under his belt. Much as I despise modern country this guy makes me sit up and listen. He sounds like a 21st century Johnny Cash – NO, No, wait a minute, that's Dierks Bentley.
Umm Jason Aldean, he did the song about seeing the neighbors butt crack. I think it was called Hicktown. Forget this one.

Track Listing
1. Tattoos On This Town
2. Dirt Road Anthem
3. Church Pew Or Bar Stool
4. My Kinda Party
5. Just Passing Through
6. Fly Over States

11. Country Boy's World
12. I Ain't Ready To Quit
13. Heartache That Don't Stop Hurting
14. Days Like These
15. If She Could See Me Now
