The news of the split has sent shock waves around the entertainment universe for two primary reasons. Firstly, they put on such a good face, even up to the very end, that people had no idea they were having difficulties. Secondly, a miscommunication meant that residents of the country music world were mourning the break-up of 'If I Die Young' stars, The Band Perry.

Yes, there are similarities... scruffy guy with poor fashion sense + a cute girl, but TBP have a surplus of scruffy fashion shy guys.
From what I hear on the grapevine, Katy and Russell have had an amicable split. He moved back to England to live with his Mum, leaving Katy the $6.5 million mansion. Russell has not answered our phone calls, probably because we made fun of him here and here, so we are unable to confirm if he will be appearing as Fred in the remake of Drop Dead Fred.
Katy so far has cancelled a couple of concerts and tweeted that she won't be attending the People's Choice Awards, as well as telling her twitter fans that "NO ONE speaks for me". I wonder if she will go back to kissing girls and liking it?
