Miley Cyrus sued over Wrecking Ball song

Miley Cyrus is no stranger to headlines and controversy, but this latest adventure could cost her dearly. A young Bulgarian woman is claiming that Cyrus used her name as inspiration for her recent hit song, 'Wrecking Ball', and wants to be compensated for the inconvenience.

According to a legal representative, 17 year old Laika Rechenbahl from Asenovgrad in the Plovdiv Province of Bulgaria is very upset by Miley's flagrant misuse of her name in the song. The global popularity of the song, which has so far received over half a billion YouTube views, has been a constant source of annoyance for Laika.

She is confronted daily by her peers mockingly singing "I came in Laika Rechenbahl", which is causing her extreme embarrassment and tarnishing her reputation. Winning the lawsuit would enable Laika to start over in a new location with a new name away from the mocking hoards in Asenovgrad.

"I just want to put the whole thing behind me," Laika told us through an interpreter. "At first, I thought it was so funny to hear my name in a song, but then I saw the video and I discovered that it was all about a crazy naked whore and I no longer wanted to be associated with such things. I think when the people they sing to me they are thinking I am the whore."

So far we have not heard back from the Miley camp about this case, which makes us wonder if they are even taking the allegations seriously, especially since copyright law does not extend to personal names, and the resemblance to Laika's name only occurs when spoken and not written.
