Magic Mike

It seems that media is currently focusing on a single sector of the population. With the recent viral explosion of the '50 Shades' trilogy of books and the soon to be released 'Magic Mike', sex crazed women have become a very important demographic.

The movie revolves around Mike (played by Channing Tatum), a stripper who by definition is magic. Matthew McConaughey is his older stripper mentor who teaches him how to dance, romance and wet ladies pants, all while making money. Basically that is the entire storyline, and nobody feels cheated.

Women aren't looking for a storyline, they get to see a bunch of hot actors stripping, and men don't care because they won't be going to see it anyway. Not unless it's modern guy with a fairly new girlfriend, looking to get some residual action as a result of the meatfest.

This movie is set to be the biggest movie of the year so far, and many theaters are hoping that this is the case since the cost of preparing theaters for this movie release has been staggering. Many larger chains have opted for a full seat replacement with new juice-proof dry wipe theater seating, while the smaller chains and independants have chosen to go with an ultra-scotchguard treatment and disposable seat 'napkins' which are handed out with ticket purchase, much like 3D glasses.
