Many months ago, we held a guest post contest to try to find a new writer to join our team and now, finally, we have selected the winner. Actually we selected the winner a while ago, but we forgot all about it until we received an email from one of the entrants asking us if they had won. If you are reading this, S. Meyer, your writing sucks and you didn't win. The Winner is...

The Winner is... |
The Winner is Sue Casa. Congratulations to Sue. If you want to read her winning entry then click here. Sue will officially join our team on December 1st, but has already contributed another guest post about muffins, here.
Since Sue lives in the UK she will be heading up the British side of Slap the Penguin, which we could possibly be naming STPUK. More details about STPUK and our bilingual future will follow once we figure out a couple of things.
In the meantime, let's get to know a little more about Sue Casa in our new writer interview.
STP: Welcome to Slap the Penguin, we are glad to have you aboard.
SC: Thanks, it's good to be a part of the team. I have been a fan of your site for a long time.
STP: Thank you. Where did you get the inspiration for your entry into our Guest Post Contest?
SC: The image of a guy in a modified wheelchair doing the ski jump popped into my head so I expanded on it and it grew into something horrific.
STP: Have you always been a writer?
SC: Not really, I used to hate English in school but I always had a weird sense of humor and would find the funny in places where most people wouldn't think to look.
STP: It' has become a tradition in these new writer interviews to ask about your first car and what you drive now.
SC: My first car was a Renault Clio, even though it wasn't mine, I just used it to get around town. It belonged to my older sister, Mia. Right now, I don't have a car. I use public transport because it is just so convenient.
STP: What is the day job which people will invariably tell you not to give up?
SC: I work in fashion. Which is code for I work in the clothing section in a department store.
STP: What's your nickname? What nicknames did you have?
SC: My dad calls me SukieSue but that's about it. Everyone else just calls me Sue, except for my Grandma, she calls me Susan.
STP: Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions and once again, welcome to the team, Susan.
SC: Thanks for having me, I am looking forward to working with you all.
