David Sylvian of the 80's band, Japan, was once accused of being "The most beautiful man in the world", which turned out to be a huge publicity stunt by a misinformed intern, but recently it made me think about how pretty the 80's were. With glam overflowing from the 70's, the new romantic invasion from the UK and spandex rockers with their manly manes, it was the decade of shallow beauty. Anybody who invested in L'Oreal before the 80's probably doubled their money by the 90's. But there was another side to the 80's, an ugly side, literally.

She has filed a lawsuit against Google requiring them to cease using the phrase "Speak Now" as part of their voice command system, claiming they are infringing copyrights from her 2010 album and single releases of the same name.

23 Firefighters rescued an unnamed 35 year old woman from a chimney in her ex-boyfriend's home in Woodcrest, California. What would have been a simple 4 man extraction operation quickly became a task for 3 engines, 2 trucks and a couple of off duty firefighters who lived nearby, after they discovered she was naked.
