Substack Launch

Hey everyone, someone I know told me all about something called Substack and so we will me using that as the base of our operations moving forward. The idea is to make a shit ton of money revisit older posts and post current commentary on them, about why they are still valid or why the humor doesn't work today, and give you, the loyal reader, a chance to weigh in on the discussion.

We will also be sneaking new material into the mix as and when it seems relevant and somebody can be bothered to write something that is not overshadowed by the natural irony of current news.

By Brad Naylor

There are many reddits full of fan theories regarding Disney's latest SWU hit, The Mandalorian. One of the latest and least believable is that 'Baby Yoda' is actually baby Yoda. Confused? Keep reading and I will really mess with your mind...

By +Alexa Rankin

Father Wade Mackenzie of St. Martin's Catholic church in Pittsburgh, has stunned his congregation, and is gathering a strong viral following after his comments on personal grooming during last Sunday's service. While preaching about the sins of the flesh he surprisingly shared his interpretation of what God thought about trimming and shaving the pubic region.

WTF? The F-Word in EMF's Unbelievable

By +Ian C

Twenty five years ago, 5 young men from Gloucestershire, UK formed a band called EMF and released their first single, 'Unbelievable' (released in 1991 in the US). The song became an instant hit worldwide with it's high energy punk pop/alternative dance charm. Unbelievable has been used in advertising, movie soundtracks, at sports events and in video games pretty much from day one. The unbelievable thing is that in the quarter century since it was released, Unbelievable has been responsible for the most profanity broadcast across the airwaves worldwide.

Who is your favorite Taylor Swift lookalike?

By +Alexa Rankin

Have you ever wondered what Taylor Swift would look like if she was a man? 5 finalists have been selected for the world's weirdest Taylor Swift lookalike contest and we want your help to select the winner. The Maylor Swift contest is a men only battle to be crowned as the person most resembling Taylor Swift. Since nobody in the real world takes this kind of nonsense seriously, the organizers look to fringe websites with weird followers (like STP) to promote the contest and collect the votes. Take a look at the finalists...

Top 10 ugliest musicians of the 80s

By +Alexa Rankin

David Sylvian of the 80's band, Japan, was once accused of being "The most beautiful man in the world", which turned out to be a huge publicity stunt by a misinformed intern, but recently it made me think about how pretty the 80's were. With glam overflowing from the 70's, the new romantic invasion from the UK and spandex rockers with their manly manes, it was the decade of shallow beauty. Anybody who invested in L'Oreal before the 80's probably doubled their money by the 90's. But there was another side to the 80's, an ugly side, literally.

World Penguin Day

By +Ian C

Once again April 25th rolls around and we celebrate World Penguin Day. [WPD 2013] The Penguin is (mostly) the only animal which has a World Day all to itself. Have you ever heard of 'World Caterpillar Day' or 'World Lesser Long Eared Bat Day'? No, and with good reason. Penguins rock and all the other animals don't. Someone did try to start a World Lion Day last year on August 10th  but it won't last.

Doctor Who celebrates 50 years

by +Ian C

50 years and 11 faces ago, Doctor Who made his first ever television appearance, the first of many. In total nearly 800 episodes have been screened, covering 239 stories. Each story revolves around The Doctor travelling into a troubled area of time and space with a hapless assistant, discovering that some alien race is messing around with stuff, then putting things right using wit, guile and a sonic screwdriver.

Ireland distances itself from mainland UK

by +Tina Cruris

Politics and religion have been the major causes of attrition between the mainland UK and Ireland for centuries, but soon that will come to an end. Ireland has finally decided to sever it's ties with the British mainland and distance itself from the UK.
