300 star, Scotsman and total hottie, Gerard Butler is set to make his Game of Thrones debut next month in the episode "The Mountain and the Viper". He stars as Jock Lannister, the bastard brother of Tyrion Lannister, who comes to the Seven Kingdoms seeking the father he never knew.

Game of Thrones is one of the hottest TV shows of the moment and is broadcast in nearly 60 countries worldwide, including China. Chinese broadcasting standards required that the show be edited to remove all traces of sex and violence allowing them to show the entire first season in a single 1 hour time slot.
The HBO series is based on a series of fantasy novels written by George R. R. Martin who is known for killing off the main characters and introducing new ones to satisfy plot twists. If only Sean Bean had known this before signing on to play Eddard Stark for the first season. His death in episode #10 perpetuated the internet meme that Sean Bean always dies in his movies.
Gerard joked in a press conference about the lifespan of GOT characters, "It was the middle ages, if the sword didn't get you then the dysentery did. I play a Scotsman looking for my English father, the smart money is on the sword..."
Gerard Butler's US GOT debut is on June 1st on HBO (check local listings in other countries) and I for one will be going to my friends house to watch it because I don't have cable.
