Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier was fired this week on what has become known in the NFL as Black Monday, the Monday following the last game of the regular season. Frazier was let go despite a 100% win record for the final week of the 2013 season. Overall this season the Vikings finished with a 5-10-1 season and Frazier had a record with the Vikings of 21-33-1.

With the not unexpected departure of Leslie Frazier, another story has just reared it head. Kris Kluwe, ex-Viking punter and totally heterosexual gay rights advocate released a statement claiming that certain members of the Vikings coaching staff were overtly anti-gay and frowned upon his extramural activities. He blames the narrow-mindedness of his coaches for him ultimately departing the Vikings. Naturally everybody denies it.

The Vikings stadium deal is done and it's just as well since all this bad press for the Vikes would possibly cause some people to change their mind about supporting this losing franchise. I hope that no more negative press surfaces about the Vikings, I'm not sure that even their most loyal supporters would stick with them through, say, a repeat DUI offense...

Enter Erin Henderson who skidded off a road, through a grassy area, across a parking lot and then into some trees. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into the Carver County Jail, charged with 2nd and 3rd degree DWI and Test Refusal, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, violation of a limited driver license and being a dumbass who thinks the rules don't apply to him. Especially since he was arrested just 6 weeks ago for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance.
