What got slapped 12 months ago - 3/13/11

What got slapped 12 months ago? Nothing. As Ross constantly told everybody when asked about him cheating on Rachel, "WE WERE ON A BREAK". Slap the Penguin (or My Twist News as it was back then) took a break for 2 months and we missed some very vital news stories as a result. That is why we published the post titled "What did we miss?" a vital collection of the main events that happened while we were away.

For those of you who have lived under a rock for the past 20 years, this is a FRIENDS reference
We were on a break
In order to not make this post a complete waste of space, I am going to re-slap some posts about time and clocks and stuff, which are relevant and topical today since the clocks leapt forward this weekend leaving me short one hour of beauty sleep (not that I need it).

October 3rd 2010, Ian C. posed the question "Is time travel possible?", a post about some guy who claims to have invented and used a time machine.

Fast forward to May 11th 2011, and once again Ian C is our horology correspondant, this time telling us about a small European country switching to metric time.

More recently, January 17th 2012 to be precise, Brad took on a tale of time and explained to us the arguments for and against phasing out the leap second

I hope you enjoyed our little trip down memory lane, which saves us having to write new material. Come visit again soon, and please leave comments for us. Good or bad, we don't care, we just want to be noticed.
