While everybody has been watching the official Olympic games in London, there are small pockets of alternate Olympics going on. Ireland are having the Spudlympics, where every event revolves around a potato. Meanwhile, Columbus GA, have the honor of hosting the 2012 Redneck Olympics.

With events such as Gator Slapping, Hog Wrestling and Mudpit Belly-flopping, these games should bring in a whole bunch of fans. Unfortunately, the Redneck Games are not yet big enough to warrant 24/7 NBC coverage so you will have to make do with a single post on Slap the Penguin.
