Twit and run

by +Ian C

A shamefully dumb British driver waived her right to silence or as it is known in the US, 'Miranda Rights' by tweeting her involvement in a criminal act last Sunday. "Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier—I have right of way he doesn't even pay road tax! #bloodycyclists" has been read by millions of tweeters including @NorwichPoliceUK.

Emma Way Tweet
How not to start your defense
Emma Way's tweet pretty much went viral as many people retweeted it to the local constabulary's twitter account. They in turn tweeted to @emmaway20 to turn herself in.

Norwich police tweet
Good solid investigative police work
Emma Way soon deleted her account after she realized her own stupidity, but an investigation was already in motion. Toby Hockley, the injured cyclist had tweeted shortly after rolling down an embankment and through a bush, "Some dumb bitch just knocked me off my bike. I have right of way. #womendrivers"

Toby Hockley Tweet
Big Hock 69? Seriously dude?
Way has since appeared on ITV News in the UK to apologize, saying "It was a spur of the moment thing and I'm sorry.... I don't want any cyclist to think I have hatred against them." TOO LATE.

It is for this very reason I have coined the term TW@ to describe dumb people on Twitter, it's pronounced exactly as it is written. OK, so after a yahoogle search I found out I didn't invent the term TW@ but I am still going to use it.

They are both idiots!

She's just plain stupid.

And all cyclist that think they "have the right of way" are even dumber. You and your bike weigh 160 lbs. Me and my car weigh over 3000 lbs. Right or wrong, the car always wins!
