Typo causes surge in Susan G Komen registrations

The Susan G Komen® charity has been raising money for breast cancer research sine 1982 and has since invested over $2.5 billion into helping those affected by breast cancer, in the form of research, support and education. A recent ad published in a popular magazine sparked a surge in registrations for the Atlanta Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the cure® thanks to a typo that slipped past everyone.

Oopsy

The number of registrations for this event is already 140% ahead of this time last year, with a 3000% increase in the number of registration requests from men. A representative from SGK told us, "While we are pleased that we have received so much extra attention, we are sorry that we are unable to facilitate an actual 3-Way event. We are offering a refund of registration fees to those who wish to withdraw from the 60 mile walk, however we do urge you to give strong consideration to actually participating in this extraordinary and life changing fundraiser."

I managed to track down Pierre deChance, a man who was all excited about the possibility of raising money while expanding his sexual horizons and I asked him how he felt about the error. "I figured it would be too good to be true," he told us. "When I phoned for more information, particularly about STD testing and protection and the lady on the other end called me a pervert and hung up on me, I knew it must be a mistake. I am kind of bummed about it, but I will still donate some money to this worthy cause. You have to look after the boobs, right?"
