8 Bit News - Liquor store offers discount for flashing breasts

by +Alexa Rankin

It's been a while but finally we have another 8-bit news story for you. The idea behind 8-bit news is to convert the supporting images to 8 bit versions (like on an old school computer) so that the pictures don't detract from the impact of the story.

This post is about a Florida liquor store which offers a sliding scale discount to ladies who flash the store staff.

Science proves that there are only 33 shades of grey

by +Tina Cruris

Fifty Shades of Grey my ass. Don't get fooled by the hype of the book series and the forthcoming movie (early 2015), there are only 33 shades of grey which can be distinguished by the human eye. In theory, photoshop can generate 256 shades of grey (so i'm told) but I can't tell the difference between #666666 and #676767.
Grey #666666 compared to grey #676767
I can't see the difference, can you?

Hello again ladies, Bubes is back and I am fresh from the Emmy's. So fresh in fact that I am here 2 days earlier than usual. For one week only, my post is trading places with the weekly Random Penguin Fact. SO here is an awesome picture of me just before I performed Elton John's tribute to his hero, Władzio Valentino Liberace.

Arrrr, Talk Like A Pirate Day

by +Alexa Rankin

Or in scurvy tongue, "Today be parlay like a salty dog day, Arrrrrr". I recently discovered that September 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day, where we all have to do our very best Captain Jack Sparrow impersonations.

I don't want to spoil anything for you fanboys out there, but it's still not my preferred option.

Friday 13th part III

by +Tina Cruris

This is the third installment of our Friday 13th series where we add very little content to the new post and just rely on what has gone before, much like the movies.

Bubes Says - Screw You Osama Bin Laden

Happy Patriot Day everyone. Today we remember those who lost their lives 12 year ago as terror struck the United States. Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody who has lost a loved one at the hands of terrorism, not just here in the US, but across the globe.

One Direction are the new Spice Girls

by +Ian C

Some years ago, the music industry and maybe even the world was astounded by 5 young British girls (ok 4 girls and 1 woman who lied about her age). Those fab five females were the Spice Girls and they were hell bent on delivering Girl Power to the masses. Now nearly 20 years later, we have the next generation of Spice Girls, except they are boys. They are One Direction.

by +Brad Naylor

What started as an email scam 2 years ago ended as a royal wedding last month, as Nigerian Prince, Mustapha Abidou of Lagos married Kirsty Charles in her home town of Loughgall, Northern Ireland.

Miley Cyrus stars in new movie - Twerknado

by +Alexa Rankin

SyFy channel has been known to commission some fairly crappy movies, mostly involving sharks, including their recent hit Sharknado. Just like John Water's movies of the 60's and 70's, these SyFy movies are 'so bad that they are good' cult classics.

Axe Body Spray turns 30

by +Tina Cruris

In 1983 consumer goods giant Unilever unleashed Axe Body Spray onto an unsuspecting European market, where it was received with open underarms. The brand grew rapidly under a variety of brand names, including Lynx specifically for the UK market. Axe was finally launched in the US in 2002 and American women have been choking ever since.

What got slapped 12 months ago - September 2012

by +Tina Cruris

Welcome to September, as usual on the first Sunday of the month I get to take you on an historical excursion back through what we were writing about 12 months ago when this site used to be funny. If you have time, compare our current stuff to last year, and then the year before to see how things have gone downhill.

Some of you are seasoned veterans and know how the archive thing works. You have probably already scrolled down and started exploring. For the rest of you, just take my hand and I will guide you personally through September 2012 step by step. If you want more details on any story then click on the title. The original post will then open in a new window so you can read it and find your way back easily.

September Caption Contest

Thanks to everyone who entered the August contest. I will announce the winner further down the page, but first let me welcome you to September and a brand new caption contest.

For those of you who are new to the idea of a caption contest let me fill you in on the concept. Take a look at the image provided below and let it guide you to come up with a witty and concise comment which will make people laugh out loud when read in conjunction with the picture.

When you have your caption you can submit it in the comments section HERE, on our FACEBOOK PAGE or by EMAIL.

Ready? OK!
