Police are baffled by the missing bridge |
The $100,000 bridge was taken apart piece by piece with a blowtorch and removed from the property in North Beaver Township sometime between September 27th and October 5th. It was used infrequently as an alternate access to the rear of the property, just an hour north of Pittsburgh.

A police report states that the bridge was probably stolen to be cut down and sold as scrap. They laughed off the idea that Hugh Jackman's new movie Real Steel had inspired people to actually build fighting robots out of a used bridge.
